Plant, Tend, Return was a commission for Richael Faithful’s 2020 Human Ecology of Racism (HER) cohort, a group of individuals with white privilege coming together to unlearn racism, interrogate whiteness and deepen our commitments to collective liberation. This short animation served as a “time capsule,” released in phases to cohort participants after completion of the series. Each segment — Plant, Tend, and Return — is a reminder to continue to integrate and honor the lessons learned together.
